How To Install the UMix Music Player Device

Contents of The Box

  • Music Player
  • Power cable with transformer
  • Ethernet cable and audio cable (not included for replacement players)
  • Earbuds (used to confirm audio play)

Procedure

  1. Place the system in a secure, dry, cool location near your Internet connection and amplifier.
  2. See the diagram below. Connect the Ethernet cable to LAN, audio to AV, and power to DC 5V.
  3. Connect the opposite end of the Ethernet cable to your router or switch, audio to your amplifier, and power to your surge protector.
  4. Give it a few minutes to boot. When the player connects to your network you will see the clock update to your correct local time.

Caution

  • Do NOT place the system on top of the amplifier or near any source of heat.
  • A surge protector is required to maintain the warranty.
  • The audio cable has a 3.5 mm stereo plug on one end and two RCA mono plugs on the other. The 3.5 mm end plugs into AV on the player as shown above. One RCA plug (white) will go into your commercial amplifier. If you have a stereo amplifier, plug in both the red and white RCA jacks.
